Kevin Groff brings 15 years of broad transactional M&A and business development experience to the Cascade Partners team. His background includes assignments with public, private, family owned and private equity backed enterprises. Kevin’s experience is equally balanced between middle market investment banking and direct investing as a corporate development officer. Collectively, Kevin has led and consummated dozens of sell-side assignments and has helped deploy over $500 Million of capital into privately held businesses.

Prior to Cascade Partners, Kevin spent six years at a unit of Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE: WYN), one of the world’s leading hospitality companies.  As Vice President of Global Corporate & Strategic Development he helped lead a consolidation effort that included more than 15 acquisitions. In addition, the team consummated several early stage venture investments, divested non-core assets and helped inform senior business leaders on key commercial matters.

In other positions, he directed Corporate Development efforts at The Winebow Group, one of the country’s largest fine wine import and distribution companies. At that time the company was a portfolio investment of Freeman Spogli & Co, a leading middle market private equity sponsor.  This role included business and brand acquisitions, as well as the greenfield expansion into new markets.  Kevin began his banking career after business school, spending almost a decade as a Vice President of a boutique business advisory firm managing merger, acquisition, divestment and capital raising mandates in the lower middle market.  

Kevin began his career in business to business sales management, spending close to a decade in technical roles that brought him throughout the US, Latin and South America.

Kevin earned a B.A. in International Business and Spanish from Ohio Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business. An avid snow skier, runner and lacrosse parent, Kevin resides in Hudson, OH with his wife and teenage daughter.
