Michigan Eye Institute, P.C. “MEI”, a leading full-service eye care practice providing service throughout Central/Mid-Michigan, has merged with Midwest Vision Partners “MVP”. This partnership expands MVP’s network to 25 locations across Michigan and Ohio with 45 physicians providing medical and surgical eye care services. This transaction allows MEI to accelerate its growth and serve a broader patient base.

Over the past 28 years, MEI has built a reputation as a high-quality provider of eye care services delivered in a caring, personal and professional manner. Our client’s top priority was to find a partner that shared this passion and commitment to high-quality patient care. MEI found that partner in MVP and will serve as the anchor practice for MVP in Michigan.

After running a competitive, national outreach process, MEI shareholders were able to evaluate the real culture and fit of potential partners. Based on the insight gained, Alpine Investors stood out as a potential partner based on their reputation and their newly formed eye care platform, Midwest Vision Partners. The Alpine/MVP team emerged as the ideal partner for our client because of both their dedication to high quality care and strong emphasis on practice culture. MVP is committed to partnering with leading ophthalmologists and optometrists to build a preeminent platform in the Midwest region. MVP’s people-focused approach impressed our clients and they immediately connected with each other.

This transaction is an example of Cascade Partners’ relentless client-focused approach. The needs and goals of our client are always our most important consideration when working on a transaction. We seek partners who share our client’s business vision, and more importantly, share its core values as this is critical to a successful partnership.
